Team Spirit in Copenhagen and First Time Champions in Toulouse - 2019 So Far

This year our lovely teams had a great time travelling  to Toulouse and for their international tournaments. The days were packed full of competitive games, bbq lunches, a lot of laughs, and finishing up with a night out on the town!

Teams came from across Europe and beyond, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Oceania, Sweden and Switzerland.

In Copenhagen, we’re very proud to say that our mixed NP team came 4th, after a strong fight from our talented players – for many, this was their first ever Netball tournament! We sent two teams to Toulouse, with Team Beauvoir finishing 5th, and Team Veil winning the tournament in Toulouse for the first time ever, making Netball Paris history! Congratulations to all the players, to the other teams and to Copenhagen and Toulouse for hosting us and hosting such wonderful tournaments.

We’re very proud of how our members have not only played, but shown incredible team spirit and sportsmanship in our two tournaments so far this year – bring on Amsterdam in October!

Success at Netball Paris' 2018 Spring Tournament

On Saturday 5th May, Netball Paris hosted our 2018 Spring International Tournament at the British School in Paris. The day was packed full of over 25 Netball games, a Zumba-style warm up session, shared picnic lunch, all followed by a fun night out in central Paris!

Eight teams from across Europe, including teams from Brussels, London, Amsterdam, and a few based in Paris, competed in the day-long competition. With a total of over 100 netball enthusiasts on-site, including players, support personnel, help volunteers, and committee members, it was nice to see so many people brought together by their love of the sport.

A big congratulations to everyone who competed, plus a further 'well done' to Amsterdam 1st place winners, Cranberries 2nd place and London 3rd place.

Additional highlights were 28+ degree sun, cake and cookie sugar overload in the bake-sale, and our resident megaphone superstar, Joe!

Thanks again, Netball lovers!

Netball Paris 2015 Tournament

Thank you to everyone who coordinated, played, umpired and supported us today! It was a great tournament with a really high level of play!

Netball Paris Tigers kicked off the tournament with a strong win against Maison Lafitte followed by Netball Paris Lions playing an amazing game against Toulouse! There were eight games played in total with the battle for third and forth place taking place between Maison Lafitte and Toulouse, both teams played valiantly with Toulouse just stealing third.

And WOW the final was a match not to miss! The Tigers and the Lions both bared their claws for the final battle and such a high standard of netball was played with the Lions being crowned kings of the jungle!

Player of the tournament included Saphi the devoted defender from Toulouse, Charlie from Maison Lafitte, Leenah the glorious GK from Netball Paris Tigers and Laura-Lynn the first-class center!

The bake sale proved a great success (even with Ellies cheesecake fail!!) helping satisfy everyone's sugar fix and raising a great €26.15 for the club! Thanks to everyone who brought goodies and also to those you ate and donated!

And last but definitely not least a GREAT big thank you to Kate for organizing it all and to all the wonderful umpires Carolyn, Laura-Lynn, Caitlin and Harriet!
